Fortunately the population of Swallows is quite stable, but to keep it that way we have to ensure their habitats are safe. What you can do is not remove a Swallow nest if you find it in your barn - just leave it alone and let the adult Swallows feed their children. We should avoid using pesticides and intensive chemicals in farms, so that insects are numerous - these are the Swallows' dinner!
